Former Co-Founder of HTC’s branded smartphone business and Global Director of Orange Devices. Most recently he has been Senior Vice President at Nokia and Microsoft, responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Mobile Device in the Europe Region
Florian has lead and built telecoms and wireless device operations across the globe and holds both Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Economics from the University of Cologne.
He worked at Siemens for over a decade and served as Vice President and General Manager of Siemens Mobile USA from 2000 to 2003.
As Global Director of Devices for the Orange Group in London, Florian spearheaded Orange’s hugely successful ‘signature device’ program and worked closely with engineers and designers to define and deliver Orange’s unique SPV smartphone Range.
Florian oversaw the growth of HTC in Europe, The Middle East, and Africa as Founder and President of HTC’s EMEA operations. Under Florian’s leadership, HTC become one of the top designers of smartphones in the region.
In recent years, Florian has served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Europe at Nokia and Senior Vice President responsible for Sales and Marketing of Mobile Devices in the European region at Microsoft.
When he isn’t working, Florian enjoys spending time with his family in Windsor, UK.
